Aditya Mittal became the 77th Grandmaster from India after he crossed the ELO 2500 rating mark at the 3rd El Llobregat Chess Tournament held in Spain. He drew his 6th round match against GM Francisco Vallejo Pons who is also ranked no. 1 in Spain. This draw helped him achieve the GM title. He is now the 11th Grandmaster from Maharashtra and the 2nd GM from Mumbai.
