Maharashtra State Under-13 Open & Girls FIDE Rating Selection Chess Championship 2022 –
Maharashtra State Under 13 Open & Girls Fide Rating Selection Chess Championship over-the-board Tournament was concluded on Wednesday 04th October 2022.
Over 220 players from various districts of Maharashtra participated in this event. Open section had 155 players out of which 85 were rated players and Girls Section had 65 players out of which 27 were rated players.
The top two finishers of Open Section, Gaikwad Manas and Boominathan Lalitaditaayyanar will represent the Maharashtra state in the upcoming Under 13 Nationals to be held on 4th December 2022 at Pondicherry. The top two finishers of Girls Section, Sani Deshpande and Patil Divya will represent the Maharashtra state in the upcoming Under 13 Nationals to be held on 4th December 2022 at Pondicherry.
The tournament had no protest in any section & was concluded on amazing note with each and every round except for the first starting on time as decided in the players meeting. Covid protocols were followed throughout the event.
Apart from official prizes that is top 10 in each category, to boast the morale of all participants and encourage them top three finishers in Under 07, Under 09, Under 11 & Youngest Player both Open and Girls Section were felicitated and awarded the trophies, a special and surprise additional prizes given by organizers which was announced before the start of First Round. Apart from the above each participant received a bag containing a diary & a face mask.
The Prizes were distributed by Dr. Vivek Kapur, Director Raisoni Group, Shri Bhushan Shriwas, Secretary of CAN and Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation, Shri S.S.Soman, Working President, CAN & Tournament Committee Member of MCA and Ajinkya Pingale, Chief Arbiter of the Tournament.
